MaxMail

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 29, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using MaxMail, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use MaxMail on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What MaxMail provides

MaxMail is a transactional email service for projects hosted on MaxNova. It provides a project credential, an API for sending messages, a durable message queue, automatic retries, suppression management, and delivery event history. Messages are sent from your own domain, through MaxMail's mail servers or, if you choose, your own SendGrid account.

MaxMail is intended for transactional messages such as receipts, sign-in codes, and project updates, not for bulk marketing or unsolicited email.

3. Accounts and credentials

You sign in with your MaxNova account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your project credential, and your SendGrid API key if you connect one, confidential. Tell us promptly if you believe either has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to send spam, phishing, malicious content, or anything unlawful, deceptive, or infringing. You must have a lawful basis to email each recipient, honor unsubscribe and suppression requests, and comply with applicable email laws such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR, as well as SendGrid's own policies when you send through SendGrid.

We may suspend or restrict sending that appears to violate these rules or harms deliverability or other users.

5. Your content and recipients

You own the content of your messages and your recipient data. You grant us a limited right to process, store, and transmit them solely to operate the service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you send.

6. Third-party services

MaxMail relies on third parties, including MaxNova for accounts and hosting, our hosting and network providers, and SendGrid for domains you connect to it. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their outages or actions.

7. Delivery and availability

Email delivery depends on recipient mail servers, spam filters, and your domain configuration, so we cannot guarantee that any message will be delivered or opened. We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may change or discontinue features.

8. Fees

Any fees for MaxMail are billed through MaxNova according to your plan. Charges from SendGrid, if you use it, or other providers are separate and billed by them.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

MaxMail is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaxMail and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, including from undelivered or delayed messages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for MaxMail in the three months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using MaxMail at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use means you accept it.
